Introduction of WINDOWS 10

The latest version of the world's most famous operating system is Windows 8.1, but lately on september the new version windows has been announced by the Microsoft officially. While this was taking place I always thought the next update would be called "WINDOWS 9", but they went in little advance and named it "WINDOWS 10". Yes the next and the latest version of the windows is going to be called as WINDOWS 10. when asked the reason why it is called windows 10 instead of windows 9, all they could say was that it is would be better to be called as 10 as the features are lot advanced. But according to my conclusion and the reviews that the OS is getting so far is that it looks almost like the windows 8.

Microsoft managed to present a demo of the OS (under development as they mentioned).The User Interface (UI) and the look of the software is same as that of the windows 8 as already mentioned. but this one has the return of the START button from the earlier version of the windows, which provides search space and even can resize the Start menu as required.

The next most important feature is that we can use almost 4 windows in the same screen. Earlier in the windows 8 & 7 we can keep open 2 windows at a time, now its updated to 4. Lot of us may think ,why is this mentioned as a important update. According to the Microsoft, they are trying to focus on the development of the software based on all type of users so what they say is that this type of update can be used by the users who use multiple monitors on their work stations like in stock market, Graphic designers etc.    

Next one is the shortcut keys in the command prompt.This is again some update which is done to make the software more user friendly for the programmers. In the earlier version of any OS the shortcuts such as Ctrl+C for copy, Ctrl+V for paste etc cannot be used on the command prompt.

The most important development in WINDOWS 10 is the CONTINUUM.

CONTINUUM is the under development feature of windows 10, which can be used in devices that are used both as Tablet and a laptop. Now a days there is a special type of laptops which can be used both as laptop and a tablet. Due to the growing sales of these type of products the Microsoft has come up with this new idea called CONTINUUM. Continuum works in such a way that it can act and provide a comfortable User interface for both the lap and the tabs. Yes once the lap is changed into tab the UI of the OS automatically changes from lap to tab.This may sound as a silly development but this design exploration video presented by the Microsoft might change your thoughts.

Since the OS is still under the development and the complete features has not yet been revealed, we cannot completely say that the OS has completely transformed when compared to its earlier versions.But at this stage , from what Microsoft has shown us the OS is not worth of called as WINDOWS 10, instead it can be renamed as WINDOWS 8.2.
